Tournament Regulations

  1. A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is required to confirm the tournament date. This payment MUST be received 30 days before scheduled event to confirm booking.

  2. A guaranteed number of players must be given to us 48 hours prior to the tournament date. We allow a dispersion of 10 players from 48 hour or booking quote. Example: If you book for 110 people and show up with only 75, YOU WILL BE BILLED FOR 100 GOLFERS! (Dispersion of 10) Please stay on top of things and let us know accurate numbers 48 hours in advance to avoid this.

  3. Four person scramble is the tournament playing format. Other formats may be used at the discretion of the General Manager.

  4. A completed draw (including cart assignments) must be submitted to the General Manager 48 hours before the tournament date. Registration tables will be provided. Please ensure participant registration is completed 1/2 hour before Tee Off.

  5. All power carts are included in the tournament package unless special arrangements have been made. Fifty carts are available from the Sylvan Lake Golf & CC. If your power cart requirements exceed this number we will supply additional carts at predetermined fleet price.

  6. Each player MUST have their own set of clubs. We have numerous sets of rental clubs in storage, but only a fraction are out on a daily basis. Please check with participants for club rental needs and give the club an idea of how many rentals will be needed to help us better prepare for your event.

  7. All food and beverage products must be purchased through the Sylvan Lake Golf & Country Club in accordance with the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission and the Alberta Department of Health. Marshall WILL confiscate any outside liquor without refund.

  8. No gifts of alcoholic nature are permitted. In accordance with the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission regulations, alcohol must be purchased through normal bar service in the Clubhouse, club's hospitality cart or the Snack Shack. Cooler Chests are NOT permitted on the golf course.

  9. Shotgun Start tournaments require a minimum of 120 players. All shotgun tournaments will be teeing off from the Clubhouse. There will be a designated parking area on the far side of the golf course parking lot for tournament players. PLEASE ADVISE YOUR PLAYERS TO COME TO THE CLUBHOUSE NOT THE TOURNAMENT HOUSE.

  10. Organizers are asked to inform their players to dress in suitable golf attire. Sweat pants and tank tops are not appropriate attire.

  11. Golfers only on the course... NO SPECTATORS please.

  12. Please ensure that all participants are aware that the golf course is "SOFT SPIKES ONLY".

  13. Tournament tee-off times are at the discretion of the SLGCC management.

  14. All tournament players MUST adhere to the direction of the golf club staff. Sylvan Lake Golf & Country Club reserves the right to cancel or suspend playing privilege, without refund, to anyone or the entire group, for violation of any of the above stated rules or for any action which is abusive or offensive to the property and the well-being of the course and/or its employees.

  15. DAMAGE TO GOLF CARTS OR GOLF COURSE WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GOLFER. IF THE GOLFER CAN'T BE IDENTIFIED, THE TOURNAMENT ITSELF WILL BE RESPONSIBLE. Please advise the players in your tourney.
