Information for Tournament Organizers

Organizing a tournament has the potential to become an absolute nightmare, or a cherished memorable experience. If you follow these guidelines, you may minimize the hassles and maximize the fun. After all... that's what it's all about!

  1. Organize everything as early as possible. Waiting only leads to last minute confusion and frustration for everyone involved.

  2. The draw maker should ensure that all foursomes have at least one experienced golfer.

  3. It is the responsibility of the organizer to advise all players that alcohol cannot be brought onto the golf course. All alcohol must be purchased from the Club hospitality cart, Snack Shack or Clubhouse (complying with ALCB regulations).

  4. The organizer should arrive at the golf course 1 1/2 hours prior to the start of the tournament. Players should arrive one hour before tee off. It is a good idea to give your players a deadline for registration the day of your event - example: 8:00 Shotgun: Registration from 6:30 - 7:30. The Managemant Team must be given a complete draw and any relevant information regarding the tournament 48 hours prior to the start (cart assignment, proximity marker locations, signage and sponsors).

  5. Scramble Tournament Rules:
Four players. All players tee-off then select the best drive. Four drives from each person must be used. All players then hit second shot from the best drive position and continue to play in this manner until holing is out. No handicaps are necessary for running this type of format, but teams should be as balanced as possible. Each team should consist of beginners, intermediate and advanced players.

  6. Please feel free to use our expertise in organizing your tournament. If you are not sure of exactly what to do, we will be more than happy to assist you in planning your event. We actually encourage this because it (usually) allows the event to run very smoothly and error free.
NOTE: 15% discount on all Pro Shop merchandise will be given to the organizers for tournament prizes.
